✨ COVEN OF THE SENSES ✨
Presented during Museum Night 2025 at Treehouse NDSM, this collective ritual invited guests to explore their senses as portals of transformation — where perception becomes magic, and the body becomes the spell.
A journey through seven altars, seven powers, one shared awakening.
🔮 Divination – The Power of Smell
An altar of herbs, spices, and secrets of the earth. Each scent awakened hidden memories and guided us through invisible stories.
🔔 Concilium – The Power of Sound
A table of bells, bowls, and kitchen tools. Participants followed rhythm and vibration, discovering how sound can shift space and spirit.
👁️ Transmutation – The Power of Sight
A memory game of food and desire. Each pair revealed how the body and nourishment mirror and transform one another.
✋ Telekinesis – The Power of Touch
A blind box of textures: soft dough, cold metal, vibrating life. Touch became vision, and matter moved the imagination.
🍽️ Vitalum Vitalis – The Power of Taste
Small bites paired with sound. Crunches, crackles, and vibrations changed the way flavor was felt — reminding us that taste begins in the mind.
🌑 Descensun – The Ritual of Food (by Vegan Bear Chef)
Through taste, scent, and sound, guests were guided to release what no longer served them.
Each person wrote a worry, a wound, or a memory on a piece of paper — a final offering to the fire.
As the night deepened, those fears turned to ashes, leaving only warmth and renewal.
🔥 Pyrokinesis – The Sound of Fire (by Yung-Tuan)
With crackling tones and resonant frequencies, the ritual ignited the air itself.
Through sound, the flame was born — not to burn, but to awaken.
A fire that moved through hearts, connecting every soul in the circle.
Guided by witch Carine and wizard Francesco, the Coven of the Senses unfolded like a living spell —
a reminder that magic begins when we dare to feel, to taste, to listen, and to let go.
As the night came to a close, all the written fears, worries, and heavy thoughts gathered throughout the ritual were burned — released into smoke and silence.
Each flame carried away a fragment of what no longer belonged to us.
My wish is simple:
that we may learn to take things a little more lightly,
to let go of what weighs us down,
and to move through life with softness and courage.
Because life — with all its chaos, beauty, and mystery —
is always worth living fully.
